THERAPEUTIC-GRADE LED

The type of LED is important when choosing the type of Red Light unit. Some LED lights provide less power, which means a longer time in a session. Our Medical Grade LED lights provide 5W of power, and are designed to direct the light forward, which gives you a faster dosage and less time using the device.

THE LIGHT SPECTRUM

Light has different types of waves and lengths and it’s important to understand the difference of a few. When talking about the visible light spectrum we are talking about the light wavelength range of 380nm-750nm. This is light you can visibly see with your eye. 750nm-850nm range is the near-infrared range. This Light range is not visible to the eye, however, still provides therapeutic effects.

When talking about Red Light Therapy, most devices use light in the 610-660nm range and 850nm range. Both of these have been scientifically tested, studied, and proven to have maximum effects and safety when treating a multitude of issues.

How does it work?

Red Light Therapy uses light waves to revitalize and boost your body’s cells. Red Light gets absorbed as it enters the body’s tissue, and gets converted into adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is a primary energy source for many cellular processes. When cells get revitalized and reenergized, they can perform their functions optimally providing the positive effects of RLT.

Why are only half of the lights on?

Our units provide both Red light and Near-Infrared LED lights at a 50/50 ratio. The Near-Infrared is also invisible to the naked eye. Simply use a phone camera to focus on the light to see the coloration of the LED.
